The census enumerator had been working north along "piano row" (so called because once one house had a piano most of the neighbours also bought a piano for their front rooms) before turning into Jeffcoats Lane. The enumerator records Rosedean Cottages as being between Oakdean Cottages and Jeffcoats Lane, it is therefore assumed that 146 and 148 were Rosedean Cottages.
